The Silver Eagle 16.95 first appeared in 1929, powered by a smooth 2148cc engine. Developed through several series, the model became very popular and was available with a variety of attractive coachwork styles. 1934 saw the introduction of the 'SF' series, which boasted a number of welcome updates including a new X-braced chassis and all all-synchromesh gearbox. Saloon, Drophead Coupe and Sports Tourer coachwork by Cross and Ellis was listed and it is one such example of the latter we offer here.

Of striking appearance in Ivory with maroon leather interior, this car was extensively restored some years ago and has been very well maintained since with around £10,000 spent over the past three years.

A pleasure to drive, with ample power and effortless gearchanging, the car has very good full weather equipment including a tonneau cover and hoodbag.

The original build record is supplied, showing the car to be correct and as it left the Works. There is also a Driver's Handbook, Spare Parts Catalogue and file of bills and sundry information etc. Also supplied is a copy of The Automobile magazine from October 1988 showing the car being offered for sale by Royle of Darlington.

A green VE60 logbook dating back to 1970 is also provided.
